**NACvicSi's 94 EG2 Del Sol Build**
Picked up this EG2 yesterday for $4k even. As I pulled onto the road to meet the person it decided it was the perfect time to storm so I couldn't look it over as well as I would have liked. I wasn't aware of a couple of the problems until today when I had a better chance to check it out.
On the way home it started pouring hail and we were on a stretch of road where there was nothing but trees. So as I sat there for 20min while my car was pummeled I was assuming there would be hella dings all over it. To my surprise it didn't mess it up any.
Year: 1994
Make: Honda
Model: Del Sol Vtec (EG2)
Mileage: 87k
Mods (at time of purchase):
Skunk2 Pro Series Coilovers
Suspension Techniques front sway bar
Suspension Techniques rear sway bar
Skunk2 lower tie bar
17” Wheels
Carbon fiber hood (needs to be clear coated)
“Euro” tail lights (blah)
Alarm
Tint
Magnaflow exhaust
S2000 black with red inserts seats
Tanabe rear strut
Skunk2 cams (unconfirmed)
Adjustable cam gears
The bad:
Cruise control didn’t work (The rubber stopper for the switch was missing, fixed temp with a small bolt. Thanks Ronk!)
SRS light on (5-1 Internal Failure of SRS unit)
Power antenna doesn’t go up (not sure if it’s broke or not wired in as it as an aftermarket unit)
Hood needs to be cleared
The clear is coming off the mirrors and a couple of small places in the rear
Cheap clear one piece headlights
Cheap aux lights that come with the cheap headlights
Euro Tails
Exhaust is a little loud/raspy for my taste
Passenger door handle broke
Plans:
Change wheels, possible 99-00 Si’s
Rise up the front coils some, way too low and bumpy for my taste
Swap in some OEM Sol seats and sell the S2ks
OEM tails
Different exhaust
Eventual respray
Possible S2k antenna or block off
OEM headlights or better eBay one pieces
OEM aux lights
Redo valve cover
OEM hood
Some type of lip
Pics that were sent to me before I drove down to look at it:
Didn’t include sub/amp
Oh snap, zig zag mats and S2k seats

Yeah you got an awesome deal. I've had my eye out for a 96-97 but the only two I have seen have been automatics.

Only real thing wrong with it is it is a right hand drive, lol In Japan, it seems like so many car there have hardly any clicks on them. The only other bonus were all the jdm accessories...map lights, unique floor mats, rear licence plate filler with lights, one piece headlights, automatic climate control, and Gathers stereo cover most of them

Ok so in a search for trying to figure out what brand wheels these are I decided to pull the one off. I still found nothing that will identify them but able to at least confirm the suspension.
Also I noticed the intake manifold wasn't the OEM B16. I couldn't find any markings on it.

Also if you notice on the picture where the hood is closed. It sticks up a bit in the back and on the front it fits right on the drivers side but on the passengers side it hits the far right bolt that holds on the front bumper which is why it is sticking up. I'm guessing it is a cheap hood that fits crappy.

While seeing what my hood was catching on something else caught my eye. That exhaust manifold heat shield doesn't look right. Hmmmm... what's that I spy? Some sort of header.
I like the look of the one piece head lights, but the fitment seems to be crap. Mix that with the crappy fitting hood and it looks bad. I will either go back to OEM head lights or find some better aftermarket option.
As for the hood, seeing as how it doesn't fit well I don't even think I'll waste the time re-clear coating it. I'll just find and OEM replacement since I will repaint it eventually anyway.

Re: **NACvicSi's 94 EG2 Del Sol Build**
Small update. Found someone that wanted to swap wheels. Picked up some 16" Bronze Rota Grids with new tires for the $30 in gas it took to get them and my wheels. Looks a lot better in my opinion, I might have went a little too high when adjusting the coilovers up, but the bumps were grinding my teeth.
For some reason in the sun my phone makes my car look more like milano pink.

I knew when I seen the very first pick that I had seen that car before. Seen you selling the wheels on craigslist, lol. The grids look 1000 times better! Keep us posted! Hopefully I'll have another honda build soon.

Yeah they had to go. Way too big and not a fan of black wheels.
