you are wasting your money.......there is no way your plugs and wires go bad that qucikly.....if they do then your setup has some serious issues.
i had the same plugs in my car for almost 2 years.......and it make 350whp+ and they still look fine.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i do it for me.. Not because they go bad.

If I am viewing things correctly it appears as if you have "2" ECT senders, one in the upper radiator housing on the block and one spliced into the hose. The hose splices are just awful IMO, but why the need for 2 senders?

Yeah, and they are like 50 or so cheaper. But I belive the power cable is lower resistance?
I usually use ngk or sumitomo depending on availibility. Ive had 2 sets of msd and both have given me grief. Poor fit or suction to the distributer cap is one thing, but ive often had to crimp the terminals for an optimum fit to the plug and even spread the terminal to grab in the distributer cap socket. I guess just sums up to poor fit. #3 used to pop off all the time would drive me crazy, never zip tied it tho.
Im sure theres others that have had no probs whatso ever, but Ive def beat the odds with the 2 crap sets I got. Ngk never an issue. (for me)
What was it with ngk you said never again? just fit or...

They were brand new and when I went to check the plugs after a pass the crimped end came off the wire on two of them. This proposed 2 problems among the obvious anger, #1 I didn't have long needle nose with me to pull off the crimped end, therefore couldn't get a socket on them to pull the plugs or put another wire on. This was over 10 years ago BTW. I eventually got them out, don't remember how, put the OEM's back on (can't believe I was smart enough to bring them at that age) and drove it home.

Its the little things like what you describe that I have NO patience for. HAHA.
Im not saying its the biggest deal to have to make some adjustments to some plug wires to get em to fit the way you want, I just dont think that should be necessary. Maybe this is a common thing for everyone to do regardless of brand.

I actually think the MSD's fit is actually very good compared to Taylor, Accel, off brand chain store versions etc. The annoyance is they dont like to stay on the cap posts because the boots are not serrated, zip-ties fix that. OEM's can be had for 75$. Worth it if you have a stock ignition and no external coil IMO.

Re: (FST GSR 1)
Sumitomo (OEM Accord) wires worked flawlessly with my Accel external coil. It's the OEM ignitor that doesn't fair so well with an ext. coil some times.
And I had absolutely no fitment problems with my Accel 300+ wires. I used the custom set that you cut to whatever length you want and install the crimp connectors yourself. I can see if someone mistakenly crushed/closed the connector tab. That may cause some loose fittings. But that is not the manufacturers fault.
Even if they do fit a bit on the lose side. You can stick a screwdriver in the distributor connector end. Push the pressure tab out (toward the insulating boot) to give it a snug fit. The MSD's are probably designed the same way. I'm not 100% because I've never used them. But you should here them click into the distributor, if you don't then that would be why they come loose.

yeah you are right, i didn't know u can splice into the stock ECT sender to an electric temp gauge? or am i wrong?
when you say the hose splice is 'awful' did u mean the unit it self (cutting between the hose) makes it awful or my job of doing it? ha i'm not offended i'm always up for peoples opinions and the better way to do things

No, no...At first glance it looked like you had 2 aftermarket senders wired up, one in the upper hose housing and one in the hose splice because I see red wires in both places. I am not a fan of splicing the radiator hoses, #1 it's not clean looking and you add 2 more hose clamps into a fluid line, #2 there's a great spot in the upper housing to tap and use.
