what kind of numbers should i put down?250 ish?
so everyone this is my first post on honda-tech.i am getting anxious cause ill be picking up my car in the next 2 weeks from the shop and i was wondering where everyone thought i would be sitting come dyno time.this has been a long drawn out build and im not just building a motor but a fullybuilt show car at the same time...i am unsure of what kind of dyno they will be running but when i find out illl be sure to update.
here are the specs from my build
portflow b18c head
valve job
milled/shaved
reworked combustion chambers
not sure what else,it was there top of the line service.
supertech valve train
toda cam gears/toda belt
rite now i have skunk 2 pro2 camshafts but that will change sometime soon for something more dramatic.
DART 84.5mm block
je pistons 12.5:1(cr)
eagle rods
crank has been cleaned up but not reworked
pwjdm whale ***** for the meantime
70mm professional products tb
air cf intake manifold
rc 440 injectors
aem fuel rail and fpr
bisimoto v2 prototype header
hytech full exhaust twin loop 2.5
i also have a cutout for the exhaust cause i thought it was too small.its at the header.
the car will be tuned on my hondata s300
competition clutch stace 4
fidanzia flywheel

I ran my car on 3 different dyno's, unchanged setup with over 40whp variation....which dyno would you like us to estimate the hp you're possibly going to make?

I honestly Dont have any idea on which dyno,I think it's a inground dyno, not the kind you have to take the front wheels off

Who's the dunb, I'm guessing you meant dumb, *** here? My wager is being put on they guy who can't follow forum rules, use the search feature or Google.
This is a very typical, bought not built, thread though.
Why does your user data say you have 1k + posts?

At least throw some pics of this show/race car. It will please us all and not get the thread close. Eg, Ek, Teggy?

Sounds like you threw a bunch of money at a 84.5 X 89mm build for a show car...
Reading that, I just don't understand the choices, other than the fact that they're big names to put on a build sheet.

i guess i deserve the flames for typing too fast on my iphone..i searched the other threads and the parts i have are not the typical run of the mill parts.i dont have a victor x mani or hytech replica headers or str cam gears...i have some of the best parts made,i was simply looking for some input on if it would reach the goals i set for my motor which were 240whp or better.
ps sorry for the blurry pics, most are cell phone pics and if your wondering why the brake lines are sitting the way over the booster is cause i didnt have the correct fitting when i finished up the tuck and the shop will finish that one.
also it was my first post on hondatech, not the marketplace

justin from dms is doing the tuning
the manifold if anything is a piece of art and the fact that its rare.it flows better than most other manifolds on the market and this design is like 5-6 years old...its duel drilled to also work with the b16

Stock for stock it'll beat the majority of the manifolds on the market for the shear fact it doesn't hold heat..
I just like it, and its always performed well.

Re: what kind of numbers should i put down?250 ish?
Since he obviously has the best parts made, (Victor X or hytech replicas or anything without the DART stamp is utter garbage or not the work of art the AIR is.), he should be able to easily use his Endyn AIR manifold (with its $1200 price tag, and high airflow design when it was first sold in 1999), head to the tuner, tune the car, get the excitement associated with knowing what his dyno number is, and be wonderfully happy with the result without incident.
Why guess? what's the fun in that? Just go to the dyno and tune? you obviously deserve to know as a surprise since you put in the time, money and effort to put it together.

Re: what kind of numbers should i put down?250 ish?
Not to mention the fact that there can be a huge range in readings between dyno's as I pointed out which makes it even more impossible to "guess his HP". Whatever dyno he uses and regardless of what it says, the only thing that's going to mean anything is how it runs at the track and if he's happy with it. But what do I know, I'm a dunb ***.....

Seems more like a thread where the OP want's to air out his laundry so everyone knows what he's got under the hood.
I'm in for track times.
F#@k the dyno charts. I want to see if the OP can put the power to the ground properly. All the parts look great and are known to make power. That doesn't really mean shyte!
