The nylon rope will keep the valves closed if you don't want to buy a leakdown tester just for this one job.
yup ive done it that way and it worked out fine

I was able to get two on the exhaust side done! your instructions made alot more sense once I realized i was pushing the spring down to far for the keepers to fall in place... here's the next problem. It took alot of force to compress the exhaust springs; i was standing on one leg with my other leg against the wall behind me to create some leverage... how do you position your body to install the intake springs?
