Is a tapered throttlebody important?
What is the difference between no tapered and tapered throttlebody ? I need a 65mm throttlebody to fit with my edelbrock intake manifold and wanna know what the difference is>?

I have a 69mm-> 65mm on my D series. I'm pleased with it.
It's essentially creating a venturi which will in essence speed of velocity. It also helps that most of these are actually 3" which is what most intakes are....

you heard wrong, it has a 3mm taper, mines 65 at the IM end, 68mm at the intake end
pretty sure the 68mm version tapers to 70 but i dunno for a fact.

are you sure you can bore a stock TB to 70mm at the opening? but im wondering the same question on the taper also...but he power is tapered, correct??
