Default Skunk2 stage 2 versus Skunk pro series 2

will the pro series cam make more power than the original stage 2 cam? I have already been running the stage2 for awhile now...but the midrange is really weak..in comparison to the stage 1 cam....I have a b18c1,skunk2 manifold,rc 310 injectors,Dc JDM Itr race header,skunk2 vaves, springs and retainers,p&P head from portflow...my compression is somewhere in the region of 11.5:1...the stage 2 cams ran really strong in comparison to the stage 1's really strong from 6k(vtec) to 9k....LMK thanks guys

Comparing the Pro2 and the S2S2 are like comparing a type r cam to a S2S2. The Pro2's are MUCH larger, the Pro1 would be a closer comparrison with the Pro1 having a much stronger midrange. The Pro1 more lift, less duration than the S2S2.

You could give them a shot, I think the M22xx or the Pro1 would make more power though. I think the Pro2's would be a bit overkill. Did you get a flow chart with your head?

I'd just stick with the cams you have.

What kind of engine management are you using? is it all tuned?

The Pro 2s are way out of your league no offense.

CR should be 13:1 and up... anything more than 14.2:1 is not necessary.

I have the pro2 in my stock bottom end gsr and it sucks ***. I bought them thinking they were slightly better than the old stage 2, boy was i wrong. From more research i have concluded the pro1 was what i should have gone with. However having these big *** cams has been pushing me to hurry up and build a 2.0 liter 12.0-13.0cr motor asap. So i guess i will keep them for the time being.
