Set-up is a gsr with hytech knockoff, testpipe, S2 Megapower R 70mm. Running with the silencer in on the street it still pretty loud... Gotta be easy with the throttle. I was thinking of adding or replacing the resonator to quiet down things. The megapower already has 1 resonator on it.

Anybody have any experience with this and what were your results.

I know adding a cat will really help cut the noise.

buddy has one on his car and it is loud as ***** , either sell or chop it up and add a 24 in resonator and run 2 resonators

Exactly what I did and it made my car a lot less raspy compared to the rest of the 4 cylinders around that just use a metal pipe as a test pipe. Excellent quality and I definitely recommend Vibrant for all your exhaust needs. No joke when I opened the box I think I shed a tear that the resonator was so beautifully crafted and that it would be under the car where nobody could see it lol.

Buy a quieter exhaust, that's what i did. Skunk2 was cool for a few months but it got to the point of just getting pulled over for having a huge stupid N1 style muffler on the car...

Power or quiteness.. pick one.

you can only put so many resinators and stuff behind the merge collector before it actually starts to hinder power.

Magniflow 5 inch round muffler with knock a lot of noise out. that is all I run on my cars. best power and not a whole lot of sound.

you dont know guys that the dynomax vt have a internal valve?

Unfortunately that is the reality of it. I'd be all over a 3" exhaust right now but I am still working on adding another resonator to my 2.5" to make it even more quiet.

Neither a JDM ITR cat or the vibrant resonator test pipe did anything significant. I'll run the megapower r as is... Or until I get tired of it.

Thanks guys, I'm not hacking the megapower any more. If I get tired of it I'll look into making a new exhaust with the dynomax vt.
