should I stick with skunk stage 1's?
i am deciding if I should stick with the stage 1's. I have a gsr swap. the mods are P&P head, upgrade valves, itr valve springs and retainers, dtr headers, and skunk2 im. I heard that the stage 2 need high comp and only put a couple more hp at the peak and the stage 1 is better in the mid range. Wat u guys think? thanks in advance. Bottom end is stock.

If you already have Stage 1's in there... keep it. Plus you have stock bottom end. Like you said already, Stage 2's like compression, so you won't get full potential out of them unless you bump it up.
Build your motor with the Stage 1's, and if you're still not satisfied with them, you can always swap it out to Stage 2's.

it really depends on how far you want to go with your car. if i were you, i'd get the stage2's. they simply have much more potential.you don't really need higher compression to work these, but to utilize their full potential, you could simply get itr pistions for pretty cheap.

If your car is daily driven, stick with the Stage 1's untile out have "outgrown" them. For a daily driver, the Stage 1's offer improved "streetability" and will most certainly provide you with more midrange than the Stage 2's on a stock bottom end.
