shimmed valve springs for better rpm?
i got a resurfaced sohc v cylinder head. the valves springs been reused and placed with washer looking shims under the valve springs. do i bennifit from anything. when racing and going turbo setup.

Springs are often shimmed up to get more seat pressure. It will decrease your room to coil bind. Just have a local cylinder head shop check the spring pressure at that installed height and tell you what it is. Then come back with that info and someone will be able to tell you if you have enough spring for what you are trying to do. List your cam size, engine rpm, and boost pressure also.

im going to boost the motor @ 8psi max. i told him about it. what rpm i shoud saftely rev up to fine with this setup idk what the shim specs etc. can i bennifit anything if i rev it alittle higher?? |
