Default Rocket Motorsports - Gets a Flow Bench

Rocket Motorsports - Flow Bench

In our efforts to improve the Honda Head we have purhcased this superflow SF110 to do flow testing of ports, valves, manifolds.

I am looking to flow some K series heads so if you are interested and have a stock K series head I would like to flow that for testing purposes.

BTW: That's Ej6andslow aka ladies man.

Been doing some heads for my dealers and some friends with satisfying results.

The bench will be used to experient with some port configurations and testing valves and stuff.

Congrats to many sleepless nights, frustrating days, and proud new owner of one of the best and worst things to happen to a head porter. Good Luck!!

Cute, a little 10" one. Real men use 28" ones

Although, something is better than nothing!!

LOL. Supposedly only good for go-karts and lawnmowers but it should be accurate if one measures certain conditions.

There are conversion charts like the one on Alaniz website that translates 10" flow numbers to 28" and is farily accurate.

Head's comments are probably from experience

i personally think that the numbers mean nothing, as long as u can tell if your are helping or hurting flow at different lifts. My old teacher had a "homemade" flow bench out of a 5hp wet\dry vac, he never knew any numbers but he could always tell in a percentage if the head flowed better or worse. Congrats on the new bench

We shall see how well Alaniz's charts transpose 28" numbers. My head, which was done by him, was put on a 28" bench before it was 'reworked' to perform better, so I have back and white data. I'll dig up the sheet sometime and share.

Having said that, using SOMETHING is way better than going by LOOKS. What are you going to be testing? Chamber design? Valve angles? Port design/size?

Robert, its about time. Actually you may not be happy with the 110. Let me know.

I'll just plug it into a 220v outlet and instantly turn it into a SF220

From what I've seen the 10" to 28" conversion is fairly accurate.

There are parts on the Honda head that likes work and there are some parts that don't really do much flow wise. Also will probably get some velocity probes and pressure map the ports.

The 220 volt is a good idea. Try 440. Yes the conversion is good used it for a long time , just thinking you may run out at 10 inches, and no this is not a John Holmes post, I switched because th e 110 was gettig maxed on the B series.
