Default RDX injector hats/injectors

I just got my injector hats adapters for the RDX injectors I'm going to install into my b-series motor, now when I install the hats onto the injectors do I need to remove the hook on the RDX injectors to make it sit right, or just leave it on?

remove it you can't fit the hats with the hooks on .

Thanks for clearing that up, I'm not to sure I'm still doing my homework on fuel pumps, I was going to run aeromotive 340 but I'm seeing mix reviews on them.

What do you recommend?

How much more flow do you need, more importantly what base fuel pressure are you looking to sustain and why? Stock fuel pressure or higher?

Well I thought the 255lph HP wouldnt be capable keeping up with these injectors, @ 38psi the pump will do fine right?

I was wanting to do 55psi for a base pressure to get a better atomization, which these come stock on the RDX right?

Now forgive me for be such a noobie I'm still learning, any info will help me, if the 255lph HP will fine on my bulid let me know, I have a freshly build motor with a CR 11:5-11:9, I thought these injector would work great, a price that can't be beat.

Btw I will post up pics of the hats on the injectors.

255lph is probably a bit overkill, 190lph would be suitable to hold 55psi with a set of RDX injectors on an all motor B series build.

This info is all over the internet if you do a search........All the formulas to calculate fuel pump flow rate in conjunction with injector flow rate are all out there as well. Some just need the air plane spoon every now and then.

i run 190lph + rdx injectors

i have a b&m fuel pressure gauge at idle i get 49psi and wot around 58psi
i know that these gauges may be a little off btw...

i would choose 255lph you get 70-75psi on these.

Do you have to extend the studs on the IM to install these?

If the aftermarket caps are made correctly the RDX injector with the cap installed should be the exact dimensions of your OEM injector, No other modifications required to the fuel rail or rail attachement hardware.

Nice setup, I actually just got the RDX injectors with the tophats as well, but they are not installed yet, waiting for my fuel rail. Anyway my question was after you installed them, how did they fit? And do you have a picture of them installed?
