Default PTW clearances p29's

Right i am in the process of building my d16z6 the sepc for the bottom end goes

YCP P29'S 76MM
SHOTPEENED RODS
ARP ROD BOLTS
ACL MAIN/ROD BEARINGS

Am i right in thinking that because ycp's are oem replacment (even if they will take more abuse) when rebore the block i use the service manual PTW clearances and ring gap clearances regardless of bore size?

Might sound a bit stupid but i want it spot on im also going to be running a 40bhp shot of nitrous should i increase the gaps at all?

nearly every cast piston i have seen that runs around 3.2" uses a .0015 PWC

it's only forged pistons that need to be setup larger.

.0015 sounds correct

If you are planning to use nitrous with cast pistons, you might want to consider having the the piston tops coated.

So would 76mm be tighter than 3.2 inches?

Would the .2" difference actually make a significant difference in how much the piston would expand? I'm just curious if it would put it too close to the factory service limit.

what do you usually set those little 3" guys up at don? don't these cast pistons have a range from .001 to .002 you can play around with depending on size, use, and application?

also, if you have a minute i'd love to pick your brain on why my last motor failed & get a few ideas on how to prevent it in the future.
