Swap out those pistons for some PR3 or USDM ITR pistons. CTR's aren't ideal in a build like that and clearences will be tight and perfect tuning a must.

CTR's will come very close to hitting the head and they'll give you a compression ratio that isn't all that friendly to pump gas or lack of a good tune. I wouldn't use them.

Get rid of those pistons are the other responses have said..

And go with a better proven cam. I'd suggest pro2's

^ This.....

This is your first B build and if you want it to be a good experience then don't use CTR pistons.

use p30 pistons and if you do decide to use the ctr anyways a thicker head gasket might help?

No, don't use a thicker gasket as a bandaid, just get the right pistons the first time, plus ctrs are the heavyist oem pistons for b series

Yes run pr3's or p30's. Id stay away from the CTRs. A honda motor is completely different from a small/big block like Im sure hes used to building. My dad learned this with me also and hes been building all sorts of motors for 30+ years as well. Every motor has a unique piece of craftsmanship needed.
