Re: New skunk2 intake manifold to be released soon
I've known about it for quite sometime...
You can change alot of stuff on it, which is why its going to be a good product..just unbolt and change..
Its been along time coming for something like this.. i'm excited..i might try it out myself. Price is supposedly around 1k or so for Manifold and TB

Re: New skunk2 intake manifold to be released soon
facts:
1) no one knows any data on it yet
2) trying to decipher how a manifold will perform based on a couple pictures just shows how little you actually know
3) just because its for B and K does not mean they wont come out with something for the H's. H builds have been coming out pretty wild lately. It would be who of them to eventually make that option available.
In the end, quit crying and let some 3rd party guys test it.

They are also coming out with a k to H intake manifold adapter copying qsd's idea. So that is probably why they didnt design an h one.

Re: New skunk2 intake manifold to be released soon
Have not seen anyone really talk about the actual design of the product.
I like the fact that you can remove the plenum; Would make porting the runners a whole lot easier. I wonder what the pricing will be? There are other products on the market that offer similar plenum design. I am surprised alot of people criticize the product for not being friendly to b16 & b18 builds but most of the all motor builds these days are 2.0L and up.

Im waiting for a full composite mani to come out.. less heat soak = cooler air = more power
then again, some schlep will have to test this in real world situations to see if infact outperforms the products already on the market..
I mean, if its only a 5-10 hp difference, is it going to be worth the hefty price tag that will come with it?

I would like to know the runner lenght and runner entry size.
Seems good, but optimal for NA using any OEM stroke (too short runners)... OK maybe except for drag.

So they expect us once again to use leftovers from stuff not designed for our engine? Just because you can bolt it up doesnt make it optimal for our engine. Look at their current h manifold. Prime example. They threw together leftover **** instead of making a product that could have made alot more power.

if you want you can do the R&D yourself and sell the design idea to skunk2?

it looks like fn2's intake mani it splits in the midle too
+1 for velocity stacks i like them!!
maybe they offer you fatter plates so you can add plenum volume but the runners look shorter than victor x !!
