Looking for detailed dyno info, not charts...
 

I understand that there is a sticky with dyno charts that show various N/A setups, but none of them are detailed enough for what I need. I am looking for the numeric info that shows the hp/tq data every 100 or 200 RPM. The engines I am looking for data on are under 2000cc. I am trying to compile data on various OEM brands and engine families to formulate rules for an engine building competition to be held in '09.

No, I can't accurately get the info from a graph. Most dyno programs offer you the option of a graphed output, or a numeric output. I need the numbers, not the lines of a graph... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/embeer.gif

You wont find any here. Those usually are scanned off ENGINE DYNO's not chassis dyno's. The people who do have the info, probably wont post it here.

I understand that to some, their dyno info is private. That is one reason why I am looking for Hot Street type builds, not race builds.

Although it's not used widely, Dynojet gives you the option of printing out the data in numeric form, or in a graph. I would lay you odds that the other mfg's of chassis dynos have this option too.

I have talked with various engine builders over the phone that have offered some insight.

With the WinPEP7 software you can export your DynoJet graph data numerically. That is if your tuner gave you the dyno runs.
Then you can place it in Excel and do analysis of the data anyway you would like.
I have an Excel sheet that you can put in your dyno data and input your gear ratios then it graphs each gear and shows the optimum shift points. If you know how the read the graph.

Fuel flow and BSFC are off. but I can fix that for a grand. The sensor works way better with race gas than pump.

That screenshot has more info than I need. I'm just looking for hp. and tq. at each RPM point. 4000RPM to 8500RPM.

Oh, by the way, is that Depac software on a hand controlled dyno? Looks awfully similar... Pretty fast sweep. Looks something like 700 to 800 RPM/sec. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Yes, it is a DEPAC, on a Stuzka brake. I lied the fuel meter is 18 years old. I have about 8000 runs between 3 different computers, they keep dieing.

Thanks, some of those have the type of info I am looking for. Not sure why Javier didn't start the pulls lower in the rev's, but it looks like he starts most runs between 5000 and 5500RPM. I need runs that start ~4000RPM or earlier.

By the way, that engine averaged 180.8hp, and 151.2lbs.tq from 4000 to 8500RPM. In our contest, that would be a combined average of 332.
