i shoulda specified. when porting the manifold, throttle body opening, at the end of the runners, etc. do you make your own fixture to hold the manifold steady.

I can't say that we have a "fixture" but several ways to hold it nothing special.

Oh and by the way we don't post these type of things so everyone can copy it themselves and really if someone wants to do the amount of work to save the money that is their call, but I hate the BIG secrets some companies keep. We do like to show how much work is put into parts like these and to show that there are still companies willing to fabricate and R&D different types of parts and help the community. I have taken a good amout of time off of H-t compared to what I used to post, but it seems these types of threads are lacking around here these days.

When will the ported PX be available to the public? If I were interested in doing this would I have to send you the PX manifold or does the projected price tag include the manifold and port work?

VX modded runners vs. PX runners See the difference in size?

how well did a modded victor x hold in comparison to a modded PX? where there any improvements found with a modded victor x please explain. Also is there a reason you wellded the runners back on off centered? Thank you for your time.

or even a forged piston just pretty much any b20 set up but with a stock head. i showed a few locals this thread and this question came up.

The victor X hasn't been tested against it. We have done so much testing over the years it wouldn't work nearly as well as the PX for most street builds. The Victor X works when it is revved. The runners were not welded offset. The runners are made to come out of the head at an angle. When you shorten the runners that are at a small angle the shorter you cut them off the wider they will be when matched up to the plenum.

It is really simple. If you engine has less reasons to breath well i.e. stock flowing head restrictive bolt-ons and such the better intake manifold won't make as much difference. Engine's that are not flowing as much air through them will not need ultra modified parts on the intake side. This is the time that the ported ITR might be a better choice. Pistons will not affect it.

Do you have photo's of a modified victor x? any dyno's. I know you have shown many dyno's of the victor x getting beat by manyt hings. It seems to me that the victor x provides the broadest power band but provides a lower torque number which usually results in higher hp. Is it just me or is the victor x just not a good manifold?

What type of improvements could be found by modifying the victor x? I saw a few dyno sessions of one of your customers cars on you tube making 263 with what seemed to be a modded victor x. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

lol... Not really . I dont care much for Scott. Havent since the late 80's actually. But I do like what you are doing with the Manifold. Looks very promising. Wonder what the tq #'s will be with the runners a little shorter.

Damn my Built B20 is begging for this over my stock itr mani. Thanks for taking the time to make a thread conserning manifold up grades, that makes sense and has dyno sheets to back it up. King FTW!
