Re: (Redline96LX)
get some engine management and tune it and get a lil more power out of it. you can always got with nitrous, itb's, supercharger, internals

Re: (Bgesy)
ITB's, port and polish head, chip, bigger fuel injector, spark plugs and wires, msd distributor cap n rotor, pistons, valve retainers, and finally when your done getting
all your parts, get it tuned professionally.

you have all thoose parts and you don't have a clue about how an engine works... sounds like your confused, or full of ****. Just learn up on all motor setups. Unless you build a whole n/a motor 13:1/large bore/stroke etc, you won't get any speed. Turbo is really the only option.

ok. ok. i was trying to make it simple. just get a Vtec VtecH VT Vi Vu what ever way you want to spell it controller. the reason i use "KIck in" so you dont have to go into detail about how a VTEC solenoid sends hydraulic pressure to locking pins that connect all three cam followers and so on and so on. but yea back to the question, i also agree with all the other peoples suggestions, except for those Jerks.

Mill the head
Mugen headgasket
ITR cams
AEBS intake manifold
ITR header
Tuning
Great way to bump up compression without tearing into the bottom end, everything else will just help your motor breathe better..

My 2cents
All the usual bolt ons.
Some agressive cams (june 3s, or BC4s) with Great springs and retainers.
More displacement always helps.
CTR Pistons and Mugen headgasket for compression.
High compression is ket to a fast all motor car.
And super good tuning.
and maybe some ITBs.
But then again this would amout to alot more money than going turbo......

Re: How to make my civic fast w/o turbo??? (Pman2)
2600+ pound civic or integra cant be fast on pump gas with out some kind of forced induction.
i speak from experance after building a 200whp lsvtec for my integra
small displacement naturally aspirated is really only for gutted sub 2000 pounds crx's or civics with no ps, no ac, no power anything, no sound system, etc

prep your head for lsvtec.
LSblock with JDM ITR OS PISTONS.
or B20block with RS pistons.
arp bolts in the rods.
good header/intake.
good cams.
hondata/tuning
maybe a reworked ITR intake manifold from IB or Hookups or something else.

I've got a '98 Civic coupe, and I consider my car to quick.
I saw your timeslips, and I attribute those times to driver error or lack of experience.
I, personally am shooting for 13.5 this year. I don't know about anyone else here, but I consider anything that runs in the 13's to low-14's a quick street car.

Re: How to make my civic fast w/o turbo??? (D-Rob)
i guess we just have different definations of fast.
with 1/4 mile times aside i was talking about a cars ability to accelerate. its true that a lot of a 1/4 mile time is based on skills. but the mph iis a reading ohf how fast the car is.
persionally i wouldent consider a car that traps under 100mph in the 1/4 mile fast. to me those times are equivelent to s2k's or 350z's which i think are not fast by any means

swap an h22 in there then sell your motor buy an h2b adaptor kit and use your b16 tranny and have fun
theres no replacment for displacment with an h22 youl have a solid platform for a fast car with no boost

Re: (ilovemyef9)
I don't think this guy will be safe on the turbo route or swapping a block. Go with a Jaskcon Racing supercharger. Powerband should be nice and I don't think that is gonna be as complicated to him as turbo or a vortech kit.
