h23 vtec with mahle golds + stage 3 cams?

hi all, i know i'm new so please be kind.

right i have a few spare h22's in the garage and a h23 so i thought i'd do the obvious and try to make a h23 vtec.

my basic budget build plans are as follows

pnp'd h22a head with flat face valves (got)
crower stage 3 cams (long story)
h23 balanced crack (got unbalanced)
h23 rods (got)
h23 block with oil squirtes and all that jazz (mainly because the bores are sooo clean) (got)
no balancing shafts (fiddling with it currently)
arp bolts where needed
h23 manual tensioner
ITBs
probably tuned on an aem ems perhaps with COP

now my question is could i use mahle gold 11.5-1s? i know the compression will already be high if i use h22a 10.6-2 pistons on h22a7 11-1.
the reason i am thinking of using mahles is due to seeing a couple of h23vtecs on here that blew type S/pde pistons.

my main concern is the valves hitting the pistons with the cams i will be using.

and another one, can i just balance the crank on its own?

i know in an ideal world i would sleeve the block but there isnt that many places in the uk who are willing to touch frm liners, those who are usually deal with porkers so will charge the earth

i will be using the car (mighty 4th gen jdm prelude) for a bit of drag racing but mainly for circuit track days

not really chasing figures but it would be nice to see some fairly decent ones!

i dont mind critism as long as its productive :P

also if any one can point me in the right direction so i can find info for my self that would be much appriciated

cheers

phil

The mahle's can be used, but you need to check your clearances and everything needs to be spot on.
