A few questions about my 82mm bore and pistons
I Searched and they said that it is safe to run 82mm on a stock sleeved B18c1.
Now I just had a few questions about the build
1. What pistons should I get
2. I heard ctr pistons will yeild something like 12 or 13 :1
3. How much will a setup like this cost (boring/assembling/labor/parts)
4. Will I have to get it tuned
5. Anybody know a good place in Jersey to get tuned, and/or bore-assemble
6. Am i missing any other details
Thanks for your help

Re: A few questions about my 82mm bore and pistons (B18c5__Owns)
yes you can go 82mm. that basically going .040" over.
i wouldnt run CTR pistons due to the large dome. get the compression other ways.
your probably looking at $75-100 to get your block bored & honed, but i dont know what machine shops rates are in your area. and obviously more money to have someone else assemble it.
not tuning it would be like buying an adjustable cam gear, putting it on, and leaving it at zero

What pistons would you recomend.
Im not looking for a serious piston, I just need one that will work, not planning on really racing it, just restoring it

82mm on factory pistons is not going to happen.
You will need to go with an aftermarket 82mm piston/ring setup.

true. Get RS Machines OEM spec pistons. They have .040 over. I'd suggest the PR3s they have.

Is that my best bet?

Yes.
Go with the RS Machine pistons.
PCT's would have been a 'no-no' anyway if you were sticking with 81.25mm bore.
