Default Dynoed my Car a few weeks ago! LS/VTEC Tony1 Tuned!

My Current Setup:

B16 Head (with mild port)
Skunk2 Stg2 Cams
Crower Valvetrain
370cc RC Injectors
B18B Block
LS Rods
LS Crank
81.50mm USDM ITR Pistons
ITR Intake manifold
ITR Throttlebody
AEM Short Ram
JDM ITR 4-1 Header
JDM ITR Cat
RSR ExMag Exhaust

I know that I can make more power and definately some more torque! Probably need to get a Test pipe and a AEM cold air intake......any suggestions would be appreciated............haters go away!

Special Thanks to Tony1 and Mochanic! For their great skills!

Not bad. With a better header, AEM CAI, test pipe and 2.5 exhaust you should hit closer to 200.
to Tony tuning. I'll be heading over there on Tuesday with a buddy to get his car retuned.

wow, those numbers are disappointing imo, but try some of the suggestions above and you'll hit at least 10-15 more whp

Haha, not really. I think folks these days expect miracles from the almighty LS VTEC. Honestly I think they are pretty respectable numbers considering the mods.

well i dynoed 196 whp and 143 wtrq with a stock-ish lsvtec with skunk2 stage 1 cams on a local dynojet on a really humid day. I just figured this set-up would hit from 195-295 whp.

Those are good numbers honestly. That exactly what that motor should be putting out, thats a good honest dyno right there. Good stuff.

The car is running through a jdm itr cat. 1 meangsr decided to run a cat because he thought it would be too loud without.

u can definately make ALOT more power. i made 180 whp and 133 torque with gsr crank with p30 pistons and gsr head, ctr cams, i was usin stock itr 4-2-1 header. i think u can get alot more out of tuning??? did u run open header on the dyno or did it go threw ur cat and exhaust?

The compression is 11:1 on the car. That was all done through a USED JDM ITR cat that I bought from JHP. I know that car should make closer to 200 WHP with just a few more changes. But this time I will not be able to get Tony1 to tune it because he is 1000 miles away. Probably get P1 Auto to tune it this time around!

oh yeah not to mention that it was 102 F at the dyno in Dallas that day! Probably had something to do with how much power I made!

hMmmm not to be hating or anything but i think that's kinda low for s2 stg 2 cams. My set-up is almost exactly like your's but you have better parts! Yours should be at least in the 190 range...Here's my set up, I just dyno tested mines a few weekends ago...

b16 head (stock valvetrain w/ no headwork)
2001 ITR cams
Stock LS injectors
ITR throttle body
JDM itr headers
Blox IM
passwordjdm fake j's racing intake
b18b block
usdm 81.25mm pr3 pistons
ls rods
ls crank
str8 pipe with ES oval muffler

180whp 130 lb/tq

I think yours is just bad tuning =/... just giving you my 2 cENT!!!

Those are some decent numbers Your exhaust setup is holding you back... so you've definitely got more potential with a better cat, exhaust, and maybe even a header.

Those numbers seem good to me. You're saying 180whp and he got 183whp, therefore similar results for a similar setup? Don't expect much from stg2 cams if CR isn't raised.

Have graphs to prove this??

I think those numbers are decent for the setup. I would want to know the CR as well cause without the right CR the stage 2 cams won't perform to their fullest.

I'd like to see your graph........and the next time you bash the tuning.......think! Because incase you didn't notice this car was tuned by Tony Paolo! Probably one of the best tuners in this industry! Have you ever heard of Norwood or maybe Jotech....both of these race teams were tuned by Tony1!

Your #'s are right around where they usually fall if they were SAE #'s . You posted STD .. Whats the SAE #'s?
Don't let people fool you though, alot of the these guys who are putting 200 whp on mild modded cars or running on high reading dyno's in most cases. Like Churches. Or they aren't posing SAE #'s

Im starting to think all these dyno graphs are just plain BS! I totally agree that its time for some people to be posting some real times instead of thse bogus jacked up dyno readings.

......I dont know about you guys but i would be more impressed with a NA car doing 13's with 175 dyno reading instead of car who has 200 hp on the dyno and runs 14's

you can make more power than that. i had a oem bottom end ls/vtec with usdm itr pistons, with a ported polished head with skunk stage 2 cams making 200whp+. ive also used the same cams on my stock internal b18cR and still made 200whp+ on a vafc. timing to get aggresive on the tuning.
