Does walbro fuel pump change PSI on stock fpr?
will installing a walbro fuel pump change my fuel pressure?
If so, by how much psi & is it safe to run on stock ecu?
I don't think it should since the OEM FPR set's the fuel pressure, but I just wanted to check for those who have this pump.
TIA

I have the pump and it's safe to just toss it in there and yes the FPR regulates the pressure. I think what the walbro unit does is no matter what rpm your engine is running at it keeps the pressure constant and it does not dip lower.
I really did not reserch it to much tho... My train of thought was walbro=good so I installed one, I actully bought one and went to install it and when I pulled my old pump it was a walbro.... Should have asked the previous owner..... DAM!
anyone need a walbro let me know.

Raised mine to 55, and I was pissin thru gas
Also went and bought a b&m fpr just to find stock psi isn't in its range so if your gonna go with a fpr id try a aem of other on besides the b&m/Blox style

It will be just fine to run on all the stock components. I have for the last 2 years no problems. Enjoy the added security it brings.

The 255 will out flow your OEM FPR and raise the pressure.
Did you even attempt to use the search feature?

The 255lph unit is overkill for most civics unless you have a mega hp turbo build. The walbro 190lph works better with stock fpr's and is good up to 400hp at the crank.

Yes, your pressure will go up. More volume, same restriction(FPR)= more pressure.
Youll probably need an adjustable FPR to lower the pressure back down where it needs to be. If you cant lower it enough, you may have to step up the return hole the fuel goes through...
Or just use a 190 lph, if your stock pump cant keep up. Either way your prob gonna need an adjustable regulator and fuel pressure guage to get it where it needs to be.

whats the best place to get a 190lph because most places just sell the 255?
and will the install kit from a 255 work on the 190?

Re: Does walbro fuel pump change PSI on stock fpr?
My car is not daily driven.
I'm doing a lot of work to the car in the next week and figured I might as well install the walbro pump now.
In about 2 months it'll be boosted, that's why I needed a walbro pump.
I've search but got mixed answer just like in this thread.
some say it will raise stock fuel pressure even with FPR, other say the walbro pumps more fuel consistantly but the OEM FPR still regulate how much pressure the injectors will see.

Re: Does walbro fuel pump change PSI on stock fpr?
I'm getting a custom tuck harness and shaved bay, so I'm bascially reinstalling everything back to NA to make sure there are no hickups with the new wiring harness (cel, fuel issues) before I install the turbo kit.
Once turbo kit is install with larger injectors it'll be towed to the shop for a tune.
But don't want to tow it to the shop only to find out i have fuel pump issues, cel issues, vacume issues ect...
if I can get away with using walbro pump, stock injectors & fpr in NA, i'd like to do that and only get under the car once while i'm doing my suspension.

Re: Does walbro fuel pump change PSI on stock fpr?
i am using a walbro and a stock GSR FPR and my pressure is stock at about 43psi with the vacuum unhooked
i also have a Bosch fuel pump in my ED with a stock fuel pressure reg (this is a stock y8 regulator) and it holds pressure at just slightly above stock, about ~45psi

Ive also noticed over the years you can tell it wasnt always the same company making the FPR and I would imagine some are better then others at controling increased flow.
