dhabell: thanx I didn't understand. sorry for my english but Trolling is an international sport!

Than you, goinfast, I'm not an engineer but a mere enthusiast. preparing the engines is not my job but I want to share my passion with all my tools in the book. or in the forum here for English speakers. I just can't do the explanations in English that allow DIY :/

Awesome build! Sounds great!

Do you have a dyno graph? I'd love to see the powerband on a 250whp b16!

thanx! I love the sound too!!

I will do a dyno after my home-made dry sump kit.
the stock oil pump and 11,000rpm is not the best way for the reliability...

thanx mates! I'm using E85, I degreed the camshafts for this fuel. (the combustion is slower than with 98 octane fuel)
the best results are with 28° for the ignition timing. I don't know why. For example, on my turbo H22 in the civic, it's 34° with the same fuel! (840hp at 9500rpm and 15psi)
my next build on the Dart block is the mix of those two approchs

Imagine if I had money to build the bottom end with high comp pistons I could had to make a 250 whp 1595cc all motor

It's only in french, today. I don't know if the translating will born one day. This book is a professionnal and technical book. it's expensive. perhaps I will try to edit a new book, less luxury for the paper, etc... (wire O, today) for a mondial edition. I'd like to add others chapters who beginning really to the start of the modifications. like that, everybody without knowledges who starts the engine preparation could build a big engine.

I would be interested in an english version. Perhaps we can get a list of potential buyers to gauge interest?

I'd be interested in a paperback English version for sure.

Thanx for your faith
it begins to be born a Pikes Peak project with the 4WD and 4WS turbo Civic to promote a paperback english version.
The idea to do a list of potential buyers to gauge interest is awesome!! who can do this here?

Yes, I searched sponsors to build this engine (for the book but the owner would have keep the engine after the book has written) but, in France, nobody tought that was possible to make 150hp per liter with slide throttle and stand off injection on B16. then I built a low cost engine with stock bottom end. That's why the CR is so little. the place in the head to keep good clearances (V2V and P2V) with the big camshafts was necessary to grind the seats very much. I controled the crankshaft and the bearings after 1500 miles and no problem. I love the B-serie!

Do you have any plans to just sell the parts such as the crank girdle and the dry sump?

I imagine it would be very profitable for your English audience, sadly for many of us we cannot benefit from your book but would want to support you either way!

Thanks for sharing everything so far!

I asked to my machiner the business price to build this part (T6-6061 CNC girdle/sump) and it would be 1500$ each for 10 parts... I don't know if there is a market here? In France, dry sump is forbidden for championships...

Does your book provide the details such as the dimensions and methods to recreate the engine you have produced?

I understand that you have created a full package where all the components work together to ensure good power but also reliability.

What do you estimate the cost of replicating/building this motor to be?

This engine was built only for the book. it's not a book what talk about engines but an engine built to explain engines. it's only a modified head on a stock bottom head, cause missing money. with high comp pistons, we will have a better torque then a better power. it was only 130lb-ft but it's already a good value with 9:1 CR. this cr was because I must grind so much the valves seats to have a good V2V with the big camshafts.
this engine was with custom slide throttles and custom stand off injection (on AEM). The price of the head was around 6000US$ but I explaned too in the book the 200HP B16 for 500US$, with several victories in rally in France.
I run 7000 miles with this engine and I sold it to put the money in the "kébab", the greek car with the fake engine but with very good parts. After the 4WS and 4WD H22 civic, I want to make a beautiful street engine, the power was secondary (I think to 700hp-800hp around)
I'm working on a second edition of the book. cheaper, bigger and better for non-professional readers.I will use my civic with the new engine to promote this new version, more commercial and more general public approch.

Which is why I do not have much time to develop on the internet. Writing and preparation (with photos for the book) take all my free time (no wife, no holidays!! lol )
