Default d16y8 2 layer oem headgasket?

I keep hearing about an OEM d16y8 2-layer headgasket that is supposed to be 0.025" thick. I also thought that there is a 3-layer d16y8 HG that is the same thickness as the d16z6 HG (0.037") Does anyone know if this 2-layer HG actually exists, and is there a part number?

the two layer d16y8 headgasket comes from removing the middle layer of the 3 layer gasket.

NO there isn't but do not forget when you start playing around like that you also need to get a cam gear to dial in the timing

personally a safer way to go would be to change the pistons

I know--I have SRP pistons--I was just thinking about it as a way to alter the compression a bit depending on what fuel. I am at 12:1 right now and run only 100 octane Cam 2.
