cam degree -which direction makes more peak/top end?
I've got my skunk2 Pro2s degreed in, and will be dynoing soon.
I have 2 settings, that are as close to what skunk2 recommends. +4ex,0in, and +3ex,-1in
which one of those settings will net me to most top end/peak?
its a drag setup, so it lives above 7000 all the time.
attached a screenshot of the degree table with my measurements for each setting.
engine setup:
74mm TB, sk2 ultra street 4Piston CNC ported mani, RDX injectors
CNC Ported head from RLZ
Supertech flat valves, springs/retainers
skunk2 Pro 2 cams
11.7:1 84.5MM wisecos on skunk2 rods
B20 block/crank
block was cut down to get rid of a scratch, head cut a little, so compression is probably 12:1 or so.
1320 big tube header, 3in exhaust

Generally speaking more advance = more top end. Obviously a dyno could confirm your settings.
Edit: Also, loving the parts list for your engine. Let us know what your results are.

Re: cam degree -which direction makes more peak/top end?
i dynoed it, outdoors, at 4500ft density altitude, and it was starving for air (this was BEFORE the 74mm and 4piston mani)
with a 68mm and a SK2 pro series manifold (it was pulling 3" of VAC all across the pull above 5k RPM
now that i changed the manifold and TB, it leaned out 7/10 of a AFR point up aboev 7000rpm(flowing ALOT more air), so i added fuel, and it now spins ALOT MORE hitting 2nd.
its in a 2400lb sedan, with PS/AC/CRUISE, full street car.
most dyno's i see making 225 at 7500 peak about 250-260, so im shooting for that.

that dyno was with the old pro manifold, no dyno yet with the 74mm and the Ultra street 4 piston mani.
