Ring end gap for b16a 81.5mm
I’m building a b16a for NA and high RPM (9k+, Skunk2 Tuner 3 cams).
I have PCX-type pistons at 81.5mm. I’m gapping the rings but I have some questions. Specs as follows for unfiled rings:
Bore for all 4: 3.208”
Oil rings for all 4: .018”
Cylinder 1
top: .017
bottom: .023
Cylinder 2
top: .016
bottom: .024
cylinder 3
top: .014
bottom: .024
cylinder 4
top: .016
bottom: .024
The last time I built a b series I ran top .018 bottom .022 for a turbo build. This build is a ~12:1 static NA build - should I buy different rings or set everything at top .017/bottom .024? I feel like those gaps are slightly too large for NA but my information stops at about 2010.
