Buddy Club camshafts spec 3 plus w/ ITR valvesprings?
Just like the is stated. I am questioning whether to use the ITR valve springs with the Buddy Club cams. I have been told that it would be wiser to use the Buddy Club valve springs with their retainers. If anyone could share some of their .02 cents, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm Sure it would be better to use the Buddy Club Springs and Retainers... They will hold up to Higher Revs and for a longer period of time, not to say that the ITR components wont hold up but the Buddy Club components will be better suited for the Buddy Club Cams.

You can use ITR springs, but the are right on the edge of being sufficient. If you are not REALLY tight on your budget, its much safer to get the right springs. Any of the good brands of valve springs will be fine for BC3 cams.
Best of luck with your project.

ha im ponderting this same exact thing i was told the type r vavle train is ok as long as u dont exceed factory redline at most 8500 rpm anything over i was told to get diffrent springs and retainers which i think made since being that the lift on the bc3 cams are really the same as ctr cams yet honda equiped the itr with ctr cams and itr valvetrain with a redline of 8500 just curious my self a to what vavletrain is ok with these cams and also these cams drop off at 8000 rpms so why go over 8200 which is factory redline for most dohc vtec motors

True, I don't plan on going over 8500. But I just want to see if anyone else here on HT have BC3+ and using ITR valvetrain.
