Got a 5g budget for any engine for my 88crx I want somthing fast from a dig and good for 60 mph pulls. I have an srt4 atm i want my crx to womp on it.

Natural is fine. I've been driving boosted cars for both my cars I've had. I had a boosted rx7 and now srt4 so I'm used to boost. But I will go natural if its fast. And what I was thinking was fully built like vitara build. For turbo. Or like type r. But Idk. What do yall think.

I'm just learning how to swap hondas. Now what ive read up is that I need to do obd0 to obd1 conversion. Now is if easier to do full harness swap of just solder it.

Hmotors has them for like 5g a swap! not much of a build but maybe you could piece it together..but i'd think thats even deeper pockets

They say you need 10k to do it properly. I wouldn't try it with 5k, but that's just me.

for 5g's alot of fun can be had ....on that budget i personally would go the vitara route with a decent turbo and hondata s300 w/ a good tune could get you around 300whp if you do most of the work yourself and shop around for deals

Built high compression B20/vtec with ported head in the CRX will womp only because of the light weight on the CRX...pm me and i'll tell you exactly how...I had a 12.1 e/t all motor CRX on drag radials

From the "dig" and 60mph pulls? As in 0-60 or 60-infinity? Pour money into the suspension, find the highest final drive you can, LSD, slicks, and nitrous. Call it a day. If you want a good all around N/A car, a B20/VTEC would be the best bang for the buck. Depending on how you built it you might have enough money over to "buy you a woman to 'womp' on".

I would decide if I wanted na or boost and what engine platform, then I would do some hardcore bargain shopping on local forums. You could make a great start to a decent d,b, or h setup with 5k.

anything you want as a block for boost.

either can be done for under 5k. bargain shopping and do the work yourself.

B16 Head

*Portflow Valvesprings / retainers
*CTR /00-01 Type R Camshafts
*Ferrea Stainless valves

LS BLOCK

*GE LS/VTEC Kit (There's an old school version that we used w/o the sandwich plate, but this is for the OP)
*P73 USDM B18C5 Pistons (either OEM or RS Machine if you have to go 81.5)
*OEM Shot peened/ recon'd rods.. Cryo treated. Using ARP Rod bolts from the d16
*P73 Oil/Water pumps and timing belt
*OEM headgasket
*z10 Block Girdle
*OEM Windage tray/oil pick up/screen
*OEM oil pan
*OEM bearings (I'm not an ACL fan because I'm old)
*Hondata/Neptune/eCtune

186whp 132ft/lbs

Stir and enjoy... All for under 4K

H2B no doubt you can get it to like 240 whp just with bolt on's to the head which your budget can get you here's your list

H22a 700 (bargain shop you can find one)
B trans 400 (if you can get one that's in good condition but cheap)
h2b kit 900-1200
RMF headers 500
sweat and tears- priceless
and maybe add skunk 2 pro 2 cams and retainers with springs 1300
all for only 4100 and maybe cheaper if you have some of the parts lying around.

Through a type r swap in it it will run 12s. Adjust the nos timing she'll run 9s lol.
