B20vtec Buildup! in progress!!!
Hi guys, right now Im in the process of building my b20vtec engine, originally I bought all the parts planning to build a b18c1, but later decided I wanted more displacement, so here's the setup; let me know if you guys think I should chage anything
-65mm Edelbrock TB
-Edelbrock PerformerX IM portmached to head and TB(Second guessing this, since I saw a couple of dynos on 2.0 engines and ITR spanked it, but this was on b16 heads, i bought it originally for the b18c where is known to be the best)
-Hondata IMG
-RC 370cc injectors
-GSR head with the P&P Wholeworks by portflow (springs/retainers)
-ITR valves
-ARP head Studs
-Skunk2 Pro1 Cams (second guessing if I should keep these or switch to Pro2's)
-Stock b20b sleeves
-Stock bore Wiseco pistons 11.49:1 CR
-Stock rods with ARP bolts
-Stock Crank
-New VTEC everything (oil pump, water pump, bearings all gaskets, etc)
-Breather Kit
-Hytech replica header (standard tube)
-Full 3" exhaust with resonator
-Everything is going to be tuned on crome
The builder just put together the shortblock and put the head in place yesterday, to check CR numbers. We are taking the IM to the shop now, so that they'll port match everything.
My goal is to hit at least 220WHP and 150TQ.. I wanted a little bit more Compression, but my builder is telling me that i should keep it there because is going to be run on pump gas and he doesnt want any pinging or det, because of the known issue with stock sleeves, eventhough is going to be tuned, he wants to keep it on the safe side.
This is all going in my 93 CX hatch, I want this to be a fun dd and track car.
Ill post some pics up the buildup later tonight.....

Would there really be a noticiable difference from running Pro2's to Pro'1s in this setup??? How different would be idle? I know a couple of people would trade them.
More pics to come...
