buddy club 4's or rm m25's?
hey guys i cant make up my mind when it comes to choosing cams.
my setup is as follows:
b18c1 bottom end
81.5mm JE 12.5:1 pistons
eagle h-beam rods
balnced and lightened crank
acl bearings
arp bolts
block guard
this is all on stock sleeves.
the head is a b16 head and its gonna be ported by headgames
im looking to drive the car on the street everynow and then so im looking for a cam thats going to be the best of both worlds.
i left the poll section open so if anyone has any reccomendations they can make there own poll.
if u guys vote can u please leave a response.
thanx,
Kyle

m22's are small compard to the two i mentioned. u really think that the m22's would make more power over the m25's or the bc4's with my setup?

I essentially have the same motor in progress, and would like someone to sell me on these RM cams over the Pro series skunks! I've seen dyno charts and read threads, I want to be sold on why I should buy these cams!!! What makes them worth my money!!!

Re: (cartune network)
i would think the m25 is too big for your 1.8L .. although i could use a bigger cam , the m22's are doing fine in my 2.0L .. dont get caught by false information out there , u dont jus up the compression a little and run the biggest cam u can find if u want usable power ... M22's also gets my vote

eh not really the bc4 has a bigger secondary lobes i believe, but the top end should be fairly close

I sell/install/tune both of these companys cams and picking either M22x or BC spec4 cams you will get great results in your engine if the tuner knows there job, both of those cams are great as a DD and will run good numbers on the track if the rest of your setup is there. You can see by the support that the Rockets are a favorate of many people on here and that is for a very good reason.

Far more people that have used these cams were displeased than the few that found them adequate.
The graphs that I have analyzed so far for this cam are from many different setups, and only three were slightly impressive. That may be due to the fact that two of them are 2.0 lt engines with some sick compression and mad supporting mods.
I just want to put my view foward that these cams are seriously overhyped. If you don't believe me, then do a search in archives for "M22x" and 80 % of the hits are people SELLING these cams. The were fooled by the hype and have no choice but to sell.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Doesn't sound like you were thourough enough.

My BONE STOCK JDM ITR motor with 150K on it with damaged rings, put down 175/125 on a dynojet. I have seen couple dynos of M22x cammed B18's with lots of supporting mods put down ONLY 184/122. I mean that is down right pitiful. A prime example of such a build is DINKO. I mean its good that you guys cheer him on, but you also need to be truthful and let him know that his build is weak. He needs to throw in another set of cams and retune to see better results.

I see he put down a 13.9 with his build, and that is somewhat ok, but there was a guy that did 13.8 with his Skunk stage 1 cams, installed some m22x's and tuned but couldn't get better than 14.0. I put down 13.8 in a full interior ITR with a 260 lb driver, on ITR CAMS,with just a profab header and a CAI.

Soon from now cleanrice is going to bring up that one dyno of the M22x vs the Pro1 cams, or maybe the amazing one with the m22x making over 200whp on a bone stock Type R withe just a 2.0lt DTR header. I am tired of seeing the same dyno sheets. If these cams are as explosive as you say, show me some happy customer's high horsepower, respectable torqued dyno graph. I have read from too many disappionted customers for me to be fooled by the HYPE!
