Not really since the CTR motor has a B18c block...but its a start

This isnt too clear to me but the CTR has a b16b and its pistons can be put into a b16a2 just clay the motor for clearance.

The reason i said that is because he asked ifit was close toa b16b...i said no because the b16b has the block of the b18cbg

Simply changing the pistons is not going to give you a B16b. The cranks are different, the block is different, obviously the rods.....completely different motor. Is the OP just lookin for some "bling factor" or something?

Nothing like a CTR.

I'd resleeve it and throw some 85mm CP's in it. Maybe a B17 crank too.

Re: b16a2 all motor (Aquafina)

The OP's idea would be a B16B inspired engine, but it still wouldn't be a B16B. True, the displacements are the same, and changing the pistons could bring the compression to being the same, but the rod-stroke is different as well as the reciprocating mass, due in part to the crank as clean rice stated. The B16B is a long rod B16. Fun in lighter body cars, but lacks torque to really move the little piggies like the 94+ tegs and 96+ civics.

thanks for the all the tech info guys , im jus gonna leave this motor alone then with the 9:1 compression je pistons i have and buy a seperate gsr block and throw in some type r pistons, and a built type r head just for daily driving grinding .
