My set up is nothing to brag about nor are my 1/4 times..but ill chime in anyway.

Freshly rebuilt d16z6
comp/zex 59300 (just found out this is considered there "stage 3" cam? is that right?)
ebay header
autozone intake with velocity stack
custom 2.25 cat back with thrush muffler

im runnin a stock p28 which is killing me, im thinkin getting tuned will help alot

my best run at the track was 15.02 at 89.6mph with 2.27 60'..my clutch was slipping bad so i know with a good clutch i can hit 14.9 and probabl 90something mph. then if i decide to get it tuned who knows. this is in a full interior cx hatch

im curious to the power numbers im making..im guessin 120 hp and 100 tq? hah

You do know that that the valve pocket centerline on the P-29 piston is different than the Y8 head?

How high are you planning to rev? You don't think the stock rods are a liabilty? The p29s have "wasted compression" I know on an a6 they sit 0.040" in the hole--although they are a good choice for alot of compression.

I wouldnt worry about it as long as you have aluminum A/C and alternator brackets.

I used to rev stock a6 rods and bolts to 8400-8500 on a pretty consistent basis--but I would NEVER chance that again--not when you can get Eagles or Scats for like $275--I guess 8000 is ok--but even then I would be worried.

Dyno of a customer/friend of ours thats running our head and camshaft.
He doesnt have the other graphs, but it was later tuned for 7800rpm and it made 153hp.

Edelbrock IM
Bisimoto header
Fujitsubo Exhaust
AEM intake
Hondata
and
STOCK old D16A6 bottom end

Head we did for him was not milled, no welded combustion chambers, and its the same type of head we give to any other customer, nothing special.

When did mike tune that again for 7800 rpm?

Does he have the new bottom end in yet?

he mentioned on another post that they did run it at a higher RPM and it broke into the 150s but he doesnt have the graph available. What I mean was that it was later tuned, few minutes later and taking it up to 7800. Not tuned at another day.

I just talkd to his brother today and they have been trying to put the bottom end in for awhile, they just dont have a place to do it yet. He said soon.

Here is my times and power

With a mild build D16Z6 I made 131 whp on pump gas which was good enough to push my CRX to 13.60's. I have a new NONVTEC setup I just finished and hoping to dyno and post some track times soon.
