I've owned a 4 Puck, 6 Puck, 6 Puck w/ Spring....

I love the 6 Puck ACT over the 4 Puck Version.

I had an ACT 6 puck in my b16 CRX and loved it I may get another for my hatch.

would it eat up my flywheel?

Re: (out of order)

my 6 puck ACT ate through the PP and flywheel within about 8000 miles. well, the chatter that was experienced wit hthe pucked clutch, i elimited by revving and slipping it higher... apparently that'll wear out a pucked clutch way before any organic.

so if you get it, prepare to have some "not smooth" driving or else it'll rip through your flywheel fast. and since you have a lightweight flywheel, im sure it'll be even more rough.

i suggest getting an act XTSS. bet clutch, and i'll never run anythign else in any honda i own.

Re: (out of order)

unless you're making atleast 350ft/lb at the flywheel something like that is overkill. and im assuming you're running a turbo setup or you're making a dedicated drag car and looking for long term reliability.

for this guy, stay away frlom pucks.

Mohsin 11-26-2005 04:07 PM

im debating to either go with exedy stage 2 or action 1MS. Im currently using a exedy stage 1 organic and love it.

Re: (Mohsin)

tell us more about your setup. if you plan on just dragging this car or only driving it on the weekends and putting about 200-250 ftlb of torque to the ground, go for the 4 or 6 puck, they're cheap and hold a lot of tq. But if this is your daily driver stay the hell away from any puck type clutch and spend the extra 50 bucks on a sprung organic disc. get an act hdss or xtss some other type of sprung disc, your wheels will be hoppin over the ground with a puck type clutch; they're just not ideal for the daily driven street.
