97' ITR - Best cams for my application?
The original B18C5 had a full OEM rebuild ~5,000 miles ago and now I plan on getting a dynotune from Jeff Evans in the near future. I figured why not put some cams in before the tune. The car currently has a comptech icebox with K&N filter, Skunk2 70mm throttle body and pro series intake manifold, RMF header, test pipe, Mugen twin loop and Hondata S300 V3.
The car will see 95% street spirited driving with 5% road course.
I was thinkig Toda Bs as I can pick up a set locally for $400 cash picked up. Then I would need to upgrade the springs and that's it? Are there better cam options out there these days for my application?
Please give me me your thoughts, guys.
Thanks,
Anthony

Skunk2 Pro1's with the complementing (mandatory) valvetrain would definitely work in conjunction with those mods, and be suitable for daily.
I'm not familiar with the Toda cam lineup.

I would also say TODA SPEC B camshafts for this style of build and utility. Nicer initial ramp up profile over their Skunk2 Tuner 2 counterpart, with a nicer, smoother VTEC engagement for over 200whp.
I have 2 setups using those cams currently.

ive done 4-5 setups with skunk2 tuner2s, and supertech valvetrain to support them. they make good power with stock cam settings (0,0)
on the dyno, the car just kept pulling past 9200, still making power.
love these cams for relatively simple all motor builds.

The best drop in cam for B series in the Greddy EASY cam, but get ready to open your wallet.
Greddy Camshafts Honda B16C/B18C EM1/DC2 | Password JDM
Those will destroy a Tuner 1 all through the powerband, but at that price, you might as well do the head right and run a real cam. Cool if you can find a used set though.
