I've already spent a good amount. But I did get a sweet find of a hydro b16 trans for 50$ needs a diff though. Chigger you looking for any trades?! Parts or labor?? I do have a machine shop.

Yea I just want to get it done so I'm using what I already have. I don't think I'll make much more than 200 whp anyway so I figure I'll save the money for an 87x87 gsr build later using the same head.

Why not use 85mm pistons like the CR VTECs, 2.0 liter GSRs/ITRs and LS VTECs?

With the right cams intake manifold, header and tuning you could have a REAL BEAST!!

Check this dyno plot out as a reference: This engine has SO MUCH MORE potential!!

If you can get a B17A crank and a B20 or B18 block you could do something like this:

What is the weight on the pistons ? the domes are a very nice shape for high RPM but to me you need alot of combustion chamber welding and redesigning to get more comp in this engine.

The pistons weight is 318 g. And I know that I more than likely will not reach my power goal with 12:1 compression but it will be safer on pump for the every day kind of use but I am going to see how much I can squeeze out of it on pump and some FTW purple

I am going to bump the compression by welding up the chambers and re shaping them so it will match the larger bore but be smaller in cc over a stock chamber

this looks intresting... would be intrested to see the final end product. I'm running a 83MM bore with a 87mm stroke on a B16 block... currently at 247 BHP.. could be higher but my injectors (B18C5 type R) are maxed out. gonna swicth to K20As to be on the safe side and do a retune... but not expecting much.
