Default 13.6:1 K24 intake manifold question

Hi,
I have an all motor k24/k20 hybrid. It's a 13.6:1 comp k24 with a built bottom end and it has a non-ported 06 rsx head with supertech dual valve springs and kelford c cams in my eg hatch. Its going to run on pump e85. I have a 74mm skunk2 throttle body that my rbc intake manifold is port matched to and a new skunk2 pro series intake manifold thats hanging out in my garage that I got in a trade. Trying to figure out if its worth putting the pro series intake manifold on the car before i finish it and get it tuned or if i should sell it. Ive searched for answers but the majority of the questions were asked by people with stock k20a2s. Just wondering if a built k24 would benefit from it.

Thanks, James

I'm not a huge K series guru, but I think your setup would benefit from a bigger intake manifold altogether. Is it a daily driver?

Going with something bigger will definitely be beneficial. The IM you currently have was designed to work with a 2L with very moderate compression and you're building a high compression (+2-3 points over a stock K20) 2.4L. Larger plenum volume will allow it to get the air it will want to use those cams and the compression to its full potential.

With the built 2.4 you would deff benefit from a larger intake manifold like

Here's a similar setup: 13:1, Kelford B, PRB head, RRC w/70mm, Hytech header, E85...(Low cam is untuned here, so ignore)

See how the curve flattens out up top? That's the intake/TB hitting the wall. And that's with an RRC which is equivalent to a ported RBC.

Something bigger, with shorter runners like a Skunk2 Ultra Race will push the curve up further to show a higher peak...but will do so at the expense of area under the curve in the midrange. For a daily, the mid-range is more important. But if you want to see 300hp on a Dynojet, put a bigger intake on it.

The skunk2 mani is not much different than your RBC. As others said, you need a bigger plenum. To add, 74mm tb will hold such a setup back even for a street car. Glad to see people still think shorter runners equal better top end, y'all keep thinking that

Why so sarcastic?

Would love to see your back-to-back dyno that shows otherwise. Please share.

"Shorter runners are better for top end and long runners are better for low-midrange."

That is such a vague and only slightly logical statement based off of dyno comparisons. But why do shorter runners generally bring about better top end and longer runners, midrange? The answer to this will validate my previous claim. Please pardon me for not wanting to give up certain pertinent information. Just know that the Honda scene is behind the Times on some things.

I don't know why I'm feeling so antsy lately, sorry

Skunk2 Ultra Race. Not sure about plenum size because of the smaller cams
