Default my turbo TSX project

the dyno was better then i hoped for. LJ(tuner) said with a aftermarket fuel pump i would easily make 400HP. i tried installing my 255 walboro but it ran like **** so i took it back out. since my TSX has a returnless fuel system i have to run a custom return line, regulator, and the 255 pump but MAYBE next year. thanks again Full-Blown Motorsports.

heres a short video of one of the last dyno's

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pateLqpUEWk

so i went to Fullblown motorsports this past weekend to get my TSX dyno tuned. the results were disappointing. we couldnt change the rev limit on the kpro so it was stuck at 5500 RPMs. so i drove 3 hrs for a partial tune. the tuner said i would easily make 300 hp if my ecu wasnt messed up. heres the dyno results with the rev limit stuck at 5500 RPMs and some short video of one of the pulls. the best she did was 259 HP and 251 TQ at 5500 rpms.

so i have been working on turbocharging my TSX and this is where im at so far.

i had to do some wire tucking so that the engine harness is out of the way. it took me 12hours but it was worth it.

my turbo. garrett t3/60-1

im building my own sidewinder manifold to fit my TSX. custom baby. its still in the works cause i still need to get my wastegate.

a quick mock up in my car just to see if i will have any issues.

heres some pictures with the wastegate.

heres my first mock up downpipe.

this is the one that i am going with. it was hard and a tight fit but it works and thats a good thing or else my kit would be for sale. hahaha.

heres the manifold sandblasted and finally finished.

thats it for now but more to come is, custom fuel line, custom intercooler pipings, intercooler install, custom downpipe and dumppipe, new clutch, LSD, and hondata dual harness kpro. ill try to keep this updated every step untill i finish up my project. thanks for looking.

I noticed as you were test fitting the turbocharger, make sure that the cartridge center section is vertical. You'll destroy the turbo if it is clocked the way it is presently. I'm sure you knew that, but just in case...

honestly i didnt even pay attention to that but then again im not that far into the build for the turbo to be permanently mounted. thanks for the heads up.

I'm not a welder, did you custom your own to save money or is that what you have to do to turbo a TSX?
