Can Front Impact Sensors Be Re-used?
I have a 2004 TSX and recently the SRS light came on. Reset it a few times and continues to stay on. I am getting code 46-11 which is "RIGHT SIDE SECOND IMPACT SENSOR NO SIGNAL".
Well I grabbed both side impact sensors off of a front end wrecked TSX at the junk yard in which BOTH airbags blew. I read these sensors reset themselves most of the time but i began to ask myself, could they be stuck in the activate position? Can any crash sensor be installed or should these be treated like once they fail or a car is wrecked NEW ones need to be purchased only? I guess I am just wondering if there is any risk blowing all my airbags by installing used ones from a wrecked car? I just haven't been able to find a non wrecked car in my area a the junk yards and don't trust eBay. Thanks for the help!
