best deal on TSX
who got the best deal on TSX?
does it feel like 4cyl accords??
i don't understand why they had to throw a 4cyl in it....
it would've been my dream car if it had accord's V6

Re: best deal on TSX (VTpreludeVT)
imagine how much it would've bumped up the price if it had the V6 in it. Plus handling would'nt have been as good. They left the V6 for the TL.
I couldn't compare it to the accord 4 but its pretty damn good for a 4 banger. Go test drive one.

Re: best deal on TSX (tony4311)
i second tony's remark about the price. considering its wearing a ACURA badge and not the 'honda' badge, that already increased the price. and knowing the car starts at 27g's, i wouldn't imagine what a v6 would cost. Since, the 270hp Tl is 33g's.

Re: best deal on TSX (azndng)
Its quicker then the 4cyl accord. smaller and 160hp vs 200hp. 5spd vs 6 spd
If you want the V6 with a 6spd get the new TL. That over took the TSX as my dream car.

Re: best deal on TSX (sarlacc23)
Correction. It's *supposed* to be quicker. Instrumented tests have shown the Accord and TSX to be almost identical though in acceleration times.

Re: best deal on TSX (typer_801)
I agree with all of you guys about the V6 and 4Cyl, besides with the gas prices are so unstable recently, why bother buying a V6 cars?
oh yes, USDM Accord(basic model) is nothing compare to real JDM accord aka TSX...

Re: best deal on TSX (01accordv6)
The accord v6 6pd coupe has absolutely no problem smoking the TSX but the TSX has better handling and is also a lot of fun to drive. For the price I think they should've boosted the HP of the TSX to atleast 220 but american honda marketing is all messed up anyways.
by the way azndng, you have 200 posts already so how is it that you are still a trial user?

It's not as easy as it looks. At 7400 max RPM, the TSX already has incredible piston speeds due to its long (99mm) strokes. Getting it to rev up there is already a feat in itself. Going further up the rev scale would make it too unreliable.

Re: best deal on TSX (tony4311)
Well, rumor here at the dealership where I work is that acura is talking about dropping in a 6 cyl. engine in the TSX. I think that would be a great move cause personally I think that the TSX is underpowered for its size. Great car, don't get me wrong, but just needs a little bit more power.

Re: best deal on TSX (KRiS1)
I've heard of people walking away with the car for about 23-24k, but dealers aren't really going below 26k because of how new the car is and cause of the demand. Out here where I work at the sales department can't keep those cars on the lot.

Re: (tommyd)
when we went to buy one for a friend, we only were able to get a couple hundred off, saying we were Costco members.

Re: (97 TYPE-R 312)
Who needs another rice burning FWD V6? I think it's cool that the TSX comes with a I4 mated to a 6 speed. How else are you going to get a car that's refined as the tsx for under 30K?

Highly unlikely for that price. From what I seen at clubtsx.com and from other sites. The most somone has gotten is between $1000-$1200 off MSRP.

Is this where the pricing still stands, after the cars have been around a few months?

Most likely if youre lucky. The TSX is a pretty popular car these days.

He said refined. The G35 is indeed a potent car but no one will say it is more refined than the TSX. Head to head in performance the G35 is going to send the TSX packing though, no disputing that.
