Default Your thoughts on Passports

My H23 Accord has become a big money pit (I would have to explain a lot for you to know exactly why) So, I am thinking of getting out of the "modding"idea for a bit, and i was thinking of getting a Passport. Arent these also sold as Isuzu Rodeos? I was also wondering if they were all 4 wheel drive. I just want something reliable for the time being that me and my girlfriend can get around in with no problems

Don't get a Honda/Isuzu Passport. There's nothing Honda about that car. Reliability is as good as Isuzu can be.

4-runner would be a lot more reliable then those Isuzu made Passports.

but 4 runner guzzles gas like crazy. i believe 15-18mpg. are you looking for new or used? price ranges? nowadays, there are many car manu. that sell v6 models (fuel efficient) with great warrantees, and reasonable prices. altho, long term reliability will be an issue.

Rodeos aren't exactly the epitome of gas milage, either. I'd reccommend a CR-V, personally. Good gas milage, good reliability, aftermarket support, and spacious. I'd stay away from the Rodeo/Passport, too.

The Rodeo/Passport is a very good vehicle. It is pretty reliable. Why would Honda put their name on it if it didn't live up to their expectations? Isuzu makes great SUV's.

Someone mentioned the Toyota 4Runner. Those are better but miore expensive.

I've worked on a few Isuzu SUV's. They are more like Honda's than you would think. For example, the brakes are almost exactly the same as most Honda's (extremely easy and quick to change).

Passports/Rodeo's are garbage!
I work at a honda dealership and we cringe everytime a Passport comes in.

You can get 4runners w/ 4cyl motors.
They are way underpowered, but gas mileage is good.
