why so snappy throttle on RL?
can anyone explain why the RL sounds like the throttle is snapping between shifts?
i dont hear it on any other automatic j series as pronounced as this one
most of them are the typical wow sound
and then completely changes the way it shifts with stock intake
stock intake smooth transition even at full throttle i dont feel the snap
stock intake without resonator box. also smooth and no snapping
as soon as i put the short ram it behaves completely different at every shift even part throttle it feels like the throttle plate is closing between shifts to RPM match?
or is the transmission different on this one from othe rj series auto?

Re: why so snappy throttle on RL?
any honda/acura with fly-by-wire throttle body, the computer controls and changes instantly the gain of throttle plate.
say if you drove at no more than 20% throttle, the computer will make the throttle plate open and close very slowly for smooth throttle response.
but then if u put you foot to the floor, the computer sees that and will make the gain higher for faster response.
in between shifts the computer will let the throttle plate close momentary to produce a smooth shift.
its normal for throttle to close in between shifts. the computer automatically knows the transmission is about to shift and partially lets throttle close.
hope this helps, you can find alot of this info on honda/acura news from that RL in 2005+
