Honda Jazz (Fit)
Hi!
Have you seen the Jazz? - http://www.honda.co.uk/newcars/jazz.html . Its a really nice, 1.4l SOHC DLS-I car, 5 doors and lotsa space
Is this car available in USA yet? I live in Europe, but I ask because I was kinda hoping there would be performance parts available for it soon. Mugen has made some bodyparts for it, but no IHE, or other upgrades.
Do you guys think this will be available anytime soon? What about going TB on an engine like that? Is it a total waste, or even possible?

Re: Honda Jazz (strepto)
There are rumors that it will come out in North America soon.
The Civic has grown to the size of the early 90's Accord and Honda needs something to fill the void that the Civic used to fill.
It will most likely have the 1.4L and be priced around $10,000 to compete with the Toyota Echo.

Re: Honda Jazz (WuWarrior)
I really hope it comes to the US – it'd probably be my next car. I really like the Scion xB and Suzuki Aerio genre but would rather have a tallwagon made by Honda.
They do make a Mugen version, too!
Car and Driver said that it'll be coming over in the next couple of years but with more hp than the Japanese/European versions (e.g.e more than 90 hp). However, keep in mind, it's closest competitior (at least in the US) would be the Scion xB (Toyota bB) which only puts down 105hp and 108 lbs/ft. of torque. So, it wouldn't take much to be above that. However, the Suzuki Aerio is 145hp.

Re: Honda Jazz (Sushiboy)
Hi again!
In Japan, the Jazz (or Fit (Fitta at first, till they found out that Fitta means ***** in Scandinavia) as its called in Japan) - comes as a 1.3l, and a 1.5lT (T for Turbo?). Not really sure about the specs tho. In Europe this has become a popular car, but with a 1.4l Engine. This is the only model available in EU.
I drive a MR 98 ITR today, and I'm used to a car with a good engine. I know that going for the Jazz with a 1.4l engine will never be able to fill my need for speed in the same way that my ITR does. However - while paying 15kUSD for a 98 ITR in the USA - I payed 26kUSD for it here, wilth 4kUSD a year in insurance. Thats just because of the HP/TQ. I really cant afford it anymore So thats why I want a cheaper Honda, with a smaller engine. The fun is that it will give me money to do some serious tuning on the Jazz, and from what Honda told me, it has great potensial.
Maybe a turbo? Maybe a JRSC? I know Mugen makes lots of cute stuff for it.. I think we will see more and more performance parts for the Jazz in the future.
Could you post links to manufactors that make Jazz sports equipment?

Re: Honda Jazz (Storm Shadow)
I like it! Here's my favorite Fit:
Mugen Fit
Here's another one that I like:
and my other favorite: the Ken Style Fit
If the Fit does come to the US, it will be my next vehicle.
