Okay so I have a 2003 Acura tl-s that I bought with a bad motor. So I got another used motor for it, same thing that came out of it. I got through the swap. Check about 100 times to make sure everything was hooked up. I put fresh 5w30 full synthetic oil in it. So it started up the first time. Runs great. Has a check engine light, vsa light, and the triangle with the ! Was lit up. I hook upy scanner and get p1259 I believe it was. VTEC system malfunction.
I've tested the VTEC solenoid, swapped it with another one, put a brand new VTEC oil pressure sensor, made sure all connections were tight, erased the codes, the check engine light goes off for like 5 seconds, then comes right back on and puts the car in limp mode.
I have tried swapping computers with one that I know is a good one.
I have no idea what else it could be. Would the vsa light be caused by the transmission speed sensor? And could that be keeping the car in limp mode?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated
