accelerator pedal intermittantly just goes to floor (no resistance / no result)
We have a 2000 Honda Odyssey.
The other day I put my foot on the pedal to accelerate. Nothing happened (and
the pedal just went to the floor). I put the car in park .... then drive, and things
were back to normal.
A couple days of driving ... no problem.
Today, after driving a while, I stopped at a stop sign ... then went to accelerate...
and the same thing occurred: Pedal to the floor a couple of times, no resistance,
no acceleration. On the 3rd or 4th push, it started accelerating normally. The
problem did not re-occur for the rest of my drive (about 15 minutes).
The only thing I checked was transmission fluid (I don't know why), but that
was fine.
Any thoughts as to the problem?
