98 TL with EGR issues
 

HELP...ANYONE! Need play by play on 0401 code on 98 Acura 3.2TL.

I do believe Acura has an EGR valve kit for that car.

It requires opening the valve assy. drilling out all the shit and replacing the gaskets and inserting a new tube into the assy.

P0401 is on because low flow of EGR system First, remove the valve itself. Try to clean out the vacuum port - Soak with Carbon cleaner for a while then ream it with a flexable cable. Start the engine to see is ther strong vacuum or not (Plave the finger over the vacuum port to feel it).
If ther is enough vacuum. Reinstall the valve. Clear the code and do drive cycle to confirm the repair.

Is this a DIY repair that is going to make me cuss? I used to to alot of DIY's to my previous cars but this one is dealership spoiled. I've priced parts and got a couple of quotes but I can't see a shop repair right now. Is this do-able?

I have gotten a few prices and DIZAMMMM!!... they're expensive. Can you give me a play by play on this project. The situation is bad enough. I don't wanna make matters worse.
