Default UK 2003 hatchback driverside door panel removal

Everything I've seen online suggests a removable small rectangular panel inside the door latch as the place to start. there is definately not one on mine I cant find any obvious place to start the removal. Any advice?

Usually that is where you start at the inside door handle because there must be a rod to disconnect. The next place would be the handle cover revealing a couple of screws. Pop off the triangular trim piece at the mirror area. Pop off the fasteners all around the sides and bottom and lift up and off.

Thanks NDNV.
I've gotten further since thread post now and have removed triangular trim near mirror and all fasteners and removed arm rest piece with wiring harness but cant get into handle.
All online tutorials have totally different door trims to mine the handle is connected to the armrest and has no obvious point of entry.
Thanks,
