Default RSX Wheel Project....Before or After?

I painted the wheels on my 05 RSX to gunmetal...they turned out better than i expected, but i think i am going to get them powder coated bronze....kinda like a old penny bronze...tell me what you think....Silver, Gunmetal, or Bronze?
Before

Paint Stripper

Wet Sanding

Primer

Without Clear Coat

Completely Finished

On the Car....(they look a little dark at night, but during the day they glitter and look more gunmetal)

Im not a fan of silver anything... and bronze is reserved for a darker colored car, so out of your choices I'd go gunmetal.

You do realize how bad this will screw up the way the car handles, right?

Making a DC5 that low is just *asking* for problems.

Honestly, the Tein S-techs are a great compromise.

If you want to go lower, you're going to need to do the suspension properly with a good set of coilovers and make the other cooresponding adjustments.

Honestly...i would go with gloss black....but you have to be careful with gloss paint...you need to have real light, even coats or it wont turn out right...also you need to do a good amount of layers of clear so that the paint doesn't chip off from rocks or pebbles on the road....just be careful with gloss paint....it runs easily...but if you do it right, it will turn out really nice...

So your sayin that tein s techs are a pretty good drop? I am also afraid of blowing my struts, but i know thats inevitable...i think im gonna go with the tein s techs, hoping they wont kill my struts too fast...i had a 92 accord that i put coilovers on and the back tires would come off of the ground everytie i would hit a bump over 50 mph...VERY DANGEROUS!!...but i just dont want to have a real bouncy ride like that again...and i dont have the money to invest in struts right now....advice greatly appreciated....

yea SSM or ASM is best with silver wheels and a nice drop. thats why i put my 05's back on. but good job on the wheels, i've been wondering how they would look painted, gunmetal isnt bad either

so yeah, if i get it done, its gonna be professional

I'm sorry...black/gunmetal just screams "tuner" to me...if thats what you are looking for, do it.

You can never go wrong with silver, IMO...clean and classy...

the ones i went with are the Sprints. they're like a 2in drop. its the lowest that i think the RSX goes with just springs. it's great. they're stiff. i like em. but as far as gettin the best out of dropping ur car... coilovers are best.

The last picture you posted the wheels look badass and I think you should leave them the way there are.

As far as lowering it, dropping it that low the car will handle like crap and ride like ****. Lowering maybe 1" - 1 1/2" at most will improve look, handling, but the ride will still suffer a bit.

Gunmetal is hot. If I wasn't getting different rims, I'd totally paint my stockies gunmetal. I don't think you should powdercoat em bronze though, I don't think it'll flow very well.
