Default RSX-S bolt ons question

i know that a catback exhaust doesnt do anything to a b series. what about the rsx-s? if i get a full exhaust for my type S would it be a noticeable difference? i heard somewhere that they are responsive to bolt ons but im not sure.

theres no way he got 215 whp with i/h/e The exhausts dont do much for the k series either. unless you have a race header. youll get 200 max with that setup and for the 05's prolly 205 max.

by itself, no. Not a noticable difference. THey say you can't feel under 10hp gains. Doesn't mean it won't affect the ride though, you might notice it rev's smoother, but its not really that much power.

The K-Series responds wonderfully to bolt ons.

The catback by itself won't make a drastic change because the OEM catback is already pretty darned good.

But, anyway, the i/h/e on my EP (stock motor, no Hondata) gave a bump of about 20-25 whp, depending on whose stock dyno numbers you'd believe (never thought to give my car a baseline).

If you want the most out of your motor and bolt ons you need a tunable ECU. It may cost a pretty penny but a K-pro in the right hands will suck every piece of HP and TQ out of your motor and bolt ons. With just simple bolt ons and relfash Hondata claims 20+HP gains.

hey you can also try out a differant option depending how far u want to go with your car.
get an CAI, headers , exhause and than reflash it cause its meant for those mods but thats just a cheaper alternative u can get a lot more power out of k pro if u find the right person to tune it.. but its like i said it depends on how far u want to go with ur car.

NO sir... you really need to stop spreading rumors about stuff like this... Although the RBC manilfold is nice (originally from the Euro Accord) there is no huge difference than the type-r manifold with basic bolt ons... However, there are gains if he gets aftermarket cams.... 10-20 hp tho?!?!??! come on man. You would have got flamed on CRSX for making a comment like that. hahah The Comptech SC at 5-6 psi puts out 40 whp. You mean to tell me that manifold will give me 20whp for thousands less?!?!?!? SIGN ME UP!!! **Sarcasm**

Take a look at this - http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=411224

ps - sorry to flame, but it just bothers me when people post things like this when they themselves dont even know.

There is no way the RBC is making those #'s.

Anyway,I made 204 @ 153 w/ bolt-ons....and that was a DCshorty and carsound combo. I never had the DCRH dynoed.
