01ITR#700

I posted this in the Type R forum also, thought you guys may want to hear my very quick review....

Went to the Dealership yesterday to get my 1st scheduled oil change. While I was there I ran into the guy that sold me my R and I asked if they had an RSX Type S I could take out. He said sure and threw my friend and I the keys. The car had 2300 miles on it at the time. I initially didn't like the stance, body lines etc. The interior didn't do it for me at all either(not that our R's are the lap of luxury or anything) I normally like updated futuristic type Styling, but the interior seemed odd and just wasn't real smooth at all IMHO. I actually did enjoy driving it, had it out for atleast 30 minutes. Very smooth ride, pleasant engine noise, smooth power, clean shifting gearbox and firm feeling clutch. Besides the gearbox I really liked the midrange power I felt between 2K and about 5K RPM's. I like the car overall, a good comfortable ride, with power right there when you need it. I easily chirped the tires going into 2nd and 3rd shifitng at a whopping 6500 RPM's!

Likes: Tranny, clutch, linear power band, comfortable ride
Dislikes: Both interior and exterior styling

Just thought I'd post my experience. But I do consider myself lucky to have the Type R and wouldn't trade it for anything at this point.
