P0172 with multiple misfire codes.
Hey guys so I have an '02 Civic Si and am getting P0172 (Fuel System too rich) code with P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304(Random misfire, cylinder 1 misfire... ect). I've gone through the entire procedure for dealing with the P0172 code (Since the misfire codes say to deal with P0172 first if it is happening along side it) short of replacing the fuel injectors and I was just wanting to check on here to see if anyone has dealt with this problem before. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: P0172 with multiple misfire codes.
Unfortunately cars can be tricky... that doesn't necessarily mean replacing fuel injectors is your cure... what are the chances of all 4 injectors going open? If it's to rich it's getting to much fuel not enough air or spark. I would be leaning more towards a different problem.. like a band Cam or Crank sensor.. something to throw off the timing that is causing not enough spark at the correct time for say. Or maybe a really bad O2 sensor causing the injectors to use to much fuel.

Yeah thats what I figured... The injectors are the next step according to the manual. So I think I'll replace them then see where I'm at after that.
My guess is the miss-firing won't be fixed by the injectors. But hopefully the fuel system too rich will be fixed.
