Re: The Offical K24a2 swapped ep3 thread...
So I started working on the tranny. Its getting a gearspeed rebuild kit with carbon synchros , Mfactory Lsd, and a MTEC race shifter spring. I got my Karcepts a/c p/s delete hooked up with a 130 amp alternator.

Gathering some more things before I swap again. I'm going to redo some of my fuel lines, install a new walbro 450 , and I'm adding a breather can. I also got the Hondata 4 port boost controller for his pleasure.

I didnt catch what headers did you use when it was n/a setup? Also would all the a3 sensors/wiring harness would go right in to k24a2? Also would the stock ep3 intake manifold fit k24a2 head?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: The Offical K24a2 swapped ep3 thread...
I had Megan Racing shorty header, which came with the car when I purchased it. You have to change to crank angle sensor on the k24a2 engine then the harness is plug and play. The tsx head has the coolant passage built into the intake manifold, so you have to you an intake manifold with the coolant passages on them.

Thanks bro, im barely ordering my longblock (been searching for more info about k24 swap)
Couple more questions for you if you dont mind
What did you do with the tps ,did you have to rewire it from 123 to 321?
Also ill be getting an 08 engine which is the same as your , what hondata kal did you use (havent even order that yet just trying to get ahead of myself )
One more thing what max degree did you set your vtc (i heard you can only go 40-45 deg max?)
Thanks alot for the help bro

Thanks man
Did you keep you ac on your ep3 ? If so did you have any trouble fitting the compressor ? One of the guy on my thread says it hits the subframe https://honda-tech.com/acura-rsx-dc5...s-ep3-3253533/

Re: The Offical K24a2 swapped ep3 thread...
I picked up a k24a4 really cheap with low miles. I know it's probably been mentioned in prior posts but I was wondering what it would take to drop in my ep3? Its a short block so I plan on using my intake and exhaust manifolds if possible. Any help is much much appreciated. thanks in advance.

[QUOTE=turbohatchBnuts;50568755]Your going to need the 2002 and up CRV passenager side engine mount bracket on the motor. The K24 is taller about 19mm , so your exhaust will need adjustments. You will also need a Kpro, hopefully you already have one. Roger That.[/QUOT
No kpro yet but soon... I was wondering about my k20a3 head tho and if it would be worth swaping to the k24a4 block? If not will my a3 intake manifold fit? And what about the wiring harness? Will it work?

My opinion is that it would be a waste of time. You should get a PRB head off a RSX type S. Then your cooking with fire.

Re: The Offical K24a2 swapped ep3 thread...
Lovely lovely thread. Great deal of detail gooing into this build. Not to mention the time and boy.... the money. Man you must have to be single with no kids haha. Really want to go k24a2 myself. Keep it up!

Re: The Offical K24a2 swapped ep3 thread...
Thanks for the build thread, helped a lot with my swap. Just put a 2007 k24a2 into my ep3.
Question, did you have any idle issues with the tsx manifold? Without the iacv cutout in the manifold it seems to idle very low (6-700 rpm). I've searched for days but haven't found a good answer.

Re: The Offical K24a2 swapped ep3 thread...
Sweet got it running like a champ. It really is like a whole new car.
Any advice you can give on swapping the rsx 50* vtc actuator? I should've done it with the motor out I know.
The manual days take old one off, put new one on, is it that simple? I understand the timing marks have to be lined up but ive read a few things about making sure it is locked before you reinstall. Is there a lock procedure or am I way off base with this thing?
